Farm Operator Indoor Farm

Are you interested in indoor farming and looking for a varied job in Amsterdam? We are looking for a system operator, with experience in operating light production machinery, preferably in a food production environment.  As an employee at Growy, you will be assigned to the production department in our brand new vertical farm. Together with your colleagues you make sure that our fresh microgreens, herbs and salads are carefully sown, beautifully harvested and perfectly packed every day.  Together with the team of technicians you keep the production systems operational, you check everything carefully, report on issues and follow strict Food Hygiene rules. What we offer:

* Gross salary of €2700-3200 per month including shift allowances.

* Travel allowance;

* 8% vacation pay paid annually in May;

* Surcharges on weekends and hours outside office hours: 150%;

Where will you work:

At our pioneering vertical farm (inside, not outside, layered on top of each other) in Amsterdam, we grow salads, herbs and micro-greens. We do this with innovations in the field of climate control and automation. In the vertical farming field we are leading the way worldwide. Our products are super sustainable, but above all very tasty and healthy.

What we look for:

*You are currently resident in The Netherlands and posess a valid work permit

*You show initiative and have perseverance.

*You speak good English and/or Dutch;

*You are available Monday through Sunday (currently all shifts are between 8:00-19:00, planning made weeks ahead);

*You are willing to perform physical work;

*You are willing to work in cold temperatures.
