Electrical Technician

As an Electrical Technician, you’ll join our dedicated Tech Development team of about 30 engineers and technicians, working together to design, build, and maintain the advanced technological systems that power our vertical farm. These systems include harvesting, seeding, irrigation, transportation, climate control, and lighting. In this collaborative environment, your expertise in electrical systems will be key to ensuring the reliability and performance of our automated infrastructure. Success in this role means taking ownership of the electrical design and maintenance, minimizing downtime, and contributing to the continuous innovation that drives our sustainable food production goals.

You will:

• Develop and build electrical control cabinets for automation systems

• Design wiring diagrams and ensure accurate implementation

• Install electrical components into farming and automation systems

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems

• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues quickly and effectively

• Support the installation and upgrading of new or existing electrical infrastructure

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support automation initiatives

• Keep detailed documentation of maintenance activities and system performance

You bring:

• Proven experience as an electrical technician in an industrial or automation environment

• Strong understanding of wiring diagrams, schematics, and control systems

• Experience building and maintaining control panels

• Knowledge of safety standards and electrical regulations

• The ability to work both independently and in a cross-functional team

Nice to have:

• Experience with automated farming or horticultural systems

• Familiarity with PLCs and industrial control systems

• Certification in electrical engineering or a related field
